1. Is this secure enough?

   What technologies are you using in a day to day basis? Is it HTTPS (SSL/TLS)? Or VPN (PPTP,L2TP/IPSec,SSL)? Or is it BitLocker or TrueCrypt drive encryption? Maybe it's just plain old web browser and web surfing? If you use any of those technologies (or any other not listed here) do you think this technology or software is secure enough? Do you think your business and private data are secured? This lecture will talk about some aspects of (in)security in those technologies and it will try to show some of the bad stuff an attacker can do to compromise your system, so you could be aware and prepared for it before it hits you. And it's not about will it hit you, it's about when you will be hit by a malicious attack.    Starting your own user group can be great fun, rewarding but also daunting, and many groups fail to continue after the first few months.

   Join this interactive session to discuss some great tips on how to set up your own user group, and more importantly how to make it succeed and grow. Combining tips from many successful and experienced UG leaders, Andrew will cover the following areas:

   Naturally training budgets as traditionally an easy area to be cut back. However during 2009/10 many early adopters and more agile companies are seeing tangible ROI from their prudent up skilling of key staff so that they realised some of the gains posed by the challenges listed above.

   Training in the area of Virtualisation, Windows Server 2008 and Office 2007/2010 suites reap almost instant benefits and have bucked the trend of current training cutbacks.

   This session explores the above outlined priorities and will facilitate an interactive discussion with attendees to establish the TechEd 2010 list of priorities and discuss them amongst our peers.

18. Entity Framework level 400

    Entity Framework is awesome but it’s often not used to full capacity.
    LINQ to Entities is really great but a bad knowledge of it can imply bad performance.
    T4 is fantastic for many things. Associated with EF, you can really come into data driven dreamt world.
