Do you think your business and private data are secured? This lecture will talk about some aspects of (in)security in those technologies and it will try to show some of the bad stuff an attacker can do to compromise your system,…

  8. Microsoft official support for VB6 has expired in March 2009, yet there are many billions lines of VB6 code waiting to be converted to VB.NET. Many companies have postponed this step, but it’s now time to take a decision. Should they convert their code with the help of a tool or rewrite everything from scratch? What about converting to a language other than VB.NET? In this informal talk we will discuss all the available options and talk about some real-world migrations.

  19. Enterprises often use a reliable IBM mainframe or midrange system to run their line-of-business applications. But Windows is the preferred front end for new capabilities that need access to those systems. IBM on one side, .NET on the other—how do you get them to work together? Applications can be mission-critical, and can have a proven record of reliability. Similarly, companies might not have the ability to replace existing hardware and infrastructure investments, or to incur the cost of rewriting mainframe applications.Microsoft BizTalk Host Integration Server 2010 offers key enabling technologies that allow enterprise organizations to integrate their mission-critical host applications…
